The 2009 Ford F-150 is getting a much needed update to the 5.4 liter V8 engine. Ford will be increasing the horsepower (if only by a little) of the V8 by using the ‘open valve technology’ fuel injection process. You can expect the truck now to punch 320 horsepower instead of 300 and from 365 lb-ft. of torque to 390.

Ford has sponsored a contest with a goal to modernize the Model T. The Model T a car that began it all. Twenty four year old junior in college Dong Trang came up with an electric crossover. According to Peter Horbury, who is head of design for the Ford company in the Americas , because Henry Ford’s first Model T was high off the ground and had a modular design, capable of hauling people and their stuff at the same time.

Ford of Europe is making Henry Ford “proud” with the release of the new “Black Magic” special edition. The design teams over at Ford have taken their inspiration from the brand new Ford Focus Coupe-Cabriolet that was shown off in Geneva. The car will only be offered in the color black (staying true to its name).

The F-150 Raptor is something that we have been hearing about for quite some time – but we were wondering if it was just rumor or if the new truck would actually be making it to the market. Ford will be showing off many polished Taurus’ at the New York Auto Show – but there will be one that will stick out of the crowd and draw people right to them. They have decided to show consumers what the Taurus looks like after a crash by displaying one of their crash test Taurus cars.
That is why they have chosen to crash test one and then to display it and show off its five star frontal and side crash test ratings that it received from the National Highway Safety Administration.

At the 2008 Geneva Auto Show Ford showed off the new Fiesta production models. We have seen a few pictures all year long and we have heard a bit of information – but none of that compares to seeing it up close and personal.
It is obvious that Ford derived its design and look for the Fiesta from the Verve concept. Ford showed off the three door Fiesta in the green color and the five foor in the magenta color. We have heard rumors that the American production version will be a four door sedan.

Ford has released the pricing for the 2009 Ford Flex crossover at $28,995. This bottom line price will include any shipping costs. The three trim levels that the Flex comes in will be higher than the $30,000 price tag with all of the options and features that they offer.
Ford built the Flex as a six to seven seater CUV that will come in front wheel drive or all wheel drive configurations. The AWD Flex Limited is expected to be $37,255 before any of the special options have been added on to it.

Ford has been doing exceptionally well partially due to its collaboration with Microsoft in creating the SYNC. The hands free system that has won quite a few awards seems to attract consumers. Many consumers are looking to find a car that has the best and the latest in technology – which is what Ford’s SYNC is.
